Shamanism is our world's oldest known wisdom teaching.
Shamanic indigenous cultures hold a remarkable body of ancient techniques that guide and support people to achieve health and well-being on all levels: body, mind, soul, and spirit.
Shamans know of the interconnectedness of all things and that the physical body is a consequence of its energetic structures. Thus, a Shaman works on the energy bodies, with spirit and soul, rather than the physical body. Shamanic work and rituals are of energetic nature and help to activate self-healing processes.
The word "shaman" comes from the Tungusic language (Northern Asia) and means "one who knows". What does a shaman know? Above all, they know about their own strength, the divinity residing in them. Shamans also know about the forces and energies of nature and the cosmos; the material and non-material world; and the ordinary and non-ordinary worlds. A shaman is considered to be a mediator between the worlds.

What I love most about Shamanism
is the awareness of the divinity and the conscious intelligence within all beings, whether human, animal, plant, or mineral. All life is equally appreciated and every being has its own medicine. All children of Mother Earth and Father Sky are created with a sacred dream in their heart and a unique medicine for the world.
All are here to dream their sacred dream into reality and to support one another with their medicine.
Mitákuye Oyás'in is a phrase from the North American Lakota tribe
that expresses that we are all related, that we are all brothers and sisters.
In Lak'ech Ala K'in is a Mayan greeting and wisdom teaching
that translates, "I am another you and you are another me."
